The Ironhand device is designed to enhance human grip strength, thereby reducing the amount of grip force required when performing repetitive tasks. This reduction in force helps to minimize fatigue and prevent strain injuries, ultimately reducing the need for sick leave and related costs. A healthier workforce leads to a more efficient and happier workplace overall. As the world’s first active soft exoskeleton for the hand, the Ironhand system includes a glove that covers all five fingers, as well as a power pack worn in a backpack or on the hip. The system is activated when the user initiates movement with their hand, using sensors located on the palm and fingers. With the Smart Assist function, the system adapts to the user’s specific movements, providing a natural force that optimizes performance.

The Carbonhand device has an immediate impact on individuals with impaired hand strength, as it is capable of applying up to 20 Newtons (N) of force per finger.
