Fraunhofer IAO develop the holistic digital model of customer production at all levels: process, machine, workplace, production area, factory as a whole. The ergonomic simulation of the real state clearly shows the current ergonomic conditions of the workplace and possible workplace improvements through industrial measures in the digital world and through scientific methods.

The digitization of the workplace is then realized with the innovative “digital twin worker exoskeleton” from Fraunhofer IAO, which demonstrates the benefits of the exoskeleton for improved ergonomics by also showing potential collisions with the production environment and negative effects after prolonged wear. Finally, Fraunhofer IAO accompany customers in contacting the provider of the commercial exoskeleton, develop an implementation plan and design the new workplace.
